Review summary

This was our first cruise with Princess and first time in Alaska. We really loved Alaska, and for the most part Princess was great. There were a few things they could improve but overall it was a great cruise.

The food was good overall. Some desserts were flavorless, but most everything else was delicious.

The pizza was so much better than I expected. It was thin crust and full of flavor.

This was a GREAT dining experience. The food was so much better than what was in the MDR or buffet. I would do this again and well worth the minute extra cost.

Skywalkers Nightclub

This was a great place to hang out during the day and just watch the ship cruising through the ocean. It was a quiet little hideout.

We had so much fun with the trivia games and zumba and movies under the stars.

The stage shows were not great. Two of the singers were really phenomenal, and the other two were just meh. The dancers were not great either.

I loved that you could watch new movies each night. It was great watching them on the deck.

The servers, stewards, cruise directors, guest services, coffee baristas were all wonderful!

Ship Quality

This ship is in need of an update. The carpets were old and stinky and the bathroom tiles and grout were older than old and dirtier than dirt.

It was a mini suite which was a great size for 3 of us. Our room steward was great and kept it immaculate.

Ship tip

Buy the premium coffee card. It is a GREAT deal and includes unlimited hot chocolate. I changed all of my coffees to frozen blended versions with no problems.

We did Adventure Karting which was so much fun, and my sister did the sea plane and crab feast and absolutely loved it.

We did the glacier float trip and had a blast. I recommend choosing the adventurous version. It was fantastic. My sister did the whale watching and salmon bake and was beyond elated.

We all did the Kroeshel Wildlife Refuge and it went way beyond our expectations. It was exciting and educational and endearing.

We did a double decker bus tour here. There was not much to see and it was kind of boring. I would choose to go off on my own next time.
