Ship tip
Turn in filled out forms and turn them into the proper people
We arrived a day earlier and rented a car. We went south to see Mt Rainer but it was to overcast and roads were not clear from snow. We then went to Snoqualmie and saw a wonderful waterfall and flowers.
The size and beauty of the town, port and surrounding area was amazing. Went on the rainforest excursion and our guide was entertaining as well as informative.
A bit busier than Ketchikan but still really wonderful. We went whale watching this was the best excursion of the entire trip. We saw 5 humpbacks, sea lions, and an Orca. One of the humpbacks breached for us on numerous occasions.
Smallest of the ports we visited, but great. We chose the white pass railroad excursion and this was such a wonderful experience. Neither of us had ridden on a passenger locomotive before. The sights, the staff, and the train were fabulous.
Dropped off in a tourist shopping area, took the shuttle and went to town. There were a lot of good shops there but my wife and I would have preferred to be sightseeing in the rural areas more.
