Review summary

The cruise was outstanding.  The staff was amazing and the shore excursions were very informative and interesting.

However, we were cruising through the Aegean Sea and going past some of the most picturesque and beautiful coastlines on Earth.  There is absolutely no need to fill every onboard minute with parties and loud music.  There really should be some respect for the landscapes we were surrounded by.  While leaving Mykonos or Athens, we wanted to sit by the pool and look out over the amazing scenery.  Instead we were treated to the droning music or, worse, the inane banter of the "Sexiest Man Alive Contest" host.  Why!?

Don't diminish the surroundings, which were incredible, with trivial worthless blather.

We are so happy with our experience overall, but the ship doesn't really need to force fun down our throats.  The ships' crew and staff does such a wonderful job at helping us relax.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The Windjammer restaurant was overcrowded for every meal. Finding a seat was next to impossible.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
I'll have fun on my own, thank you. You don't need to herd me into a party.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We didn't really take in too many shows and we don't particularly enjoy them, but those that we saw were well done.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Above and beyond. The absolute highlight of the onboard experience.

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

Outstanding service by our steward, Rodrigo Cezar.

Ship tip

The Guest Services desk should have forms for laundry and other things that might be requested. We literally had to attempt three times to find a laundry form. I don't mind coming down to the desk to pick them up or, more importantly, picking them up when I'm there already.

Ports of call

Venice, Italy

5 out of 5
We spent a couple extra days after the cruise. It was amazing.

Kotor, Montenegro

5 out of 5
The host did a great job of helping us understand the city and life in Montenegro.

Corfu, Greece

3 out of 5
A little rushed and the choices for destinations was odd. Still, though, very enjoyable.

Piraeus (Athens), Greece

5 out of 5
We did a private tour that we loved.

Mykonos, Greece

5 out of 5
Delos was amazing. We would have liked to have more time in port overall, but that's really not an option. Too bad, though.

Argostoli, Kefalonia, Greece

5 out of 5
Very nice tour. And Kefalonia was beautiful. Loved the tour of the island.

Welcome to the world of cruising.  Thanks for posting your first review here on the Website.  I enjoyed reading it.  Usually the laundry forms are in a drawer in your stateroom.  If not, you can ask your steward to deliver one to your tateroom.  Leave him/her a note in your room if you do not see the steward.
