Review summary

Even though it started out rough with us missing our first port Azores Islands. The overall experience was not so bad that we're going to do another repositioning in April 2024.

Quick and easy is the Princess way.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The main dining was very nice with sharing a table a wonderful idea of meeting others. The buffet was accessible most times when we need just a little something to eat.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We enjoyed the fitness center. It was a bit breezy at the pool until we made it to Antigua, after 9 days at sea. There wasn't any structured activities until the Caribbean portion of the cruise.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Samuel at Good Spirits was excellent. He was funny and very informative with his talks about beverages from all over. Our room steward was Raul on Deck 12, he was just wonderful and was available at our every need.

Cabin / Stateroom

The size surprised us. It seemed small for a Deluxe Balcony cabin. It was comfortable and clean at all times.

Ports of call

Southampton (London), England Did not visit port

We flew into Southampton the morning of embarkation, got on a bus for the port and got on the ship.

Ponta Delgada, Azores Did not visit port

The ship skipped this port. It was one of the main reasons that we decided to do this repositioning cruise. We received $6.75 as a port tax refund.

St. John's, Antigua

We took a bus tour around the city.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

We loved the excursion at this port. We went by chairlift to the top of a mountain, ziplined through the canopy about 6 ziplines. Then we took another chairlift to the best zipline we've ever done. It was called the "Flying Dutchman". It is the steepest zipline in the world. It was amazing and I challenge any adrenaline junkie to try it.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

We enjoyed it, our excursion was supposed to include the rainforest but was changed to a ranch and the fort.

Grand Turk Island

If you like drinking and shopping that's fine. This port needs more than Margaritaville and a space capsule.

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida Did not visit port

We went straight to the airport and flew home.

The Princess staff have it all together. We had our bags checked to our final destination and just walked off the ship with our backpacks. It was another amazing features that we love.
