Review summary

We booked this cruise because the itinerary seemed good to us. Indeed we were not disappointed. I recommand it! A little tiring, far from relaxing because very few days at sea, but it's a place to discover!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
The bus transfer from London to Southampton is approximately 2 hours. Returned to the port the boarding is done quite quickly, 15 minutes and we are on board!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
At Market Place, buffet restaurant for all meals is good. Traditional dishes for all dinners with, in addition, a different theme every night! At the dining room, the menus were varied and the food good. Went to the specialty restaurant Catch by Rudi. Seafood and fish restaurant. Worth going at least once. Overall, nothing to complain about, on the contrary, quite satisfied!

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Good

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Several activities on board, shows at the end of the evening... Ok! Except, at aperitif times, not too many choices to entertain us.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The service is as usual second to none, perfect!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Sky Princess, boat built and inaugurated in 2019, so quite recent. Same size as the Royal, Regal, Majestic... The boat has more windows, more modern restaurant spaces.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The décor of the cabins is lighter, less dark. The balcony cabin A701, on deck 12 aft is good.

Ship tip

Have fun, dare

Ports of call

Southampton (London), England

3 out of 5
The port of Southampton is a major port of embarkation for cruises and is located approximately 130 km from London.

Gdynia (Gdansk), Poland

4 out of 5
The port is about 2 km from the city center and 2.5 km from the train station. We opted for an excursion: Gdansk on your own. Bus ride to and from with a visit time of 4 hours. We saw the Fountain of Neptune, the Golden Gate structure, the prison tower and St. Mary's Basilica. Well enjoyed this excursion especially as the price was reasonable.

Visby, Sweden

4 out of 5
The ship docks at the port of Visby. The Visby Cruise Terminal is located in the center of the city. It only takes 5 to 10 minutes on foot to reach the town hall. A tourist information kiosk is located in the cruise terminal and wifi is offered. Another excursion: Visby on foot. 15-minute bus ride to and from the trip. Visit the medieval defensive wall, small town of roses (flowers) and the ruins of churches. Follow-up of the botanical garden. Had we known that the port was nearby, we would have visited on our own, especially since the guide didn't care if the whole group followed or not!

Helsinki, Finland

3 out of 5
We dock at the port of goods about 3 km from the city. Free wifi is available at the port. We took the following excursion: Helsinki Highlights. Made 3 stops: Senate Square, Temppeliaukio Rock Church and Sibelius Monument. Not so bad!

Tallinn, Estonia

4 out of 5
The port of Tallinn is located at the foot of the medieval city. Wifi is free at the port. The city can be visited on foot, since almost all the attractions are in the medieval city and it has many pedestrian streets. We took a shuttle bus to the medieval town. We walked on the fortress and took lots of pictures!

Stockholm, Sweden

4 out of 5
We dock at the port of Stadsgarden, a walking distance of about 2.5 km following the blue line to get to the old city center. We took the excursion: Stockhollm's Waterways Cruise, which consists of a boat tour on the canals, with a guide. Nice excursion!

Warnemunde (Berlin), Germany

5 out of 5
The port of Warnemünde in Germany is the stopover that allows you to visit Berlin. You can also decide to stay near the port and visit Rostock. Or, simply visit Warnemunde which is 1 km from the port. Again, opted for an excursion. Take the train, journey of 2h30 to get to Berlin. We visit the city by ourselves. Great opportunity to take several photos and also to immerse yourself in history... We enjoyed this excursion very much, despite the fatigue of having walked for a long time...

Aarhus, Denmark

3 out of 5
The terminal is 1.5 km walk from the beginning of the city. Best of all, a free shuttle service is offered to visit the city. The Moesgaard Museum (exhibits from the Stone Age and Viking history) is the city's main attraction. We took the excursion, Mosegaard Museum and city drive. Not appreciated! Only 30 minutes to the museum, impossible to see everything and the city tour by bus was not really necessary!

Copenhagen, Denmark

5 out of 5
During the cruise, we went to this stopover 2 times, with a longer time than expected. The port of Copenhagen is located on the east coast of Denmark. Copenhagen is the capital of the country and the largest city in Scandinavia. Copenhagen is famous for its Little Mermaid, a statue in tribute to the account of the writer Hans Christian Andersen. The first time we took the following excursion: Copenhagen City Drive & Canal Cruise, very popular and worth the cost! The second time we took a shuttle bus to get to the 1st metro station. From there we took the metro to get to the city center, beautiful monuments with pedestrian streets, shops and restaurants.

Kristiansand, Norway

5 out of 5
We went to this stopover 2 times. The port is very close to the beginning of the city. At the port it is offered a map of the city with a circuit to visit the city on foot. If you ever visit this city, be sure to eat at the Retti I Garnet restaurant located at the entrance, very close to the fish market. The salmon and trout are deliciously good! On the website of the port it is offered a walking tour to visit the city.

Skagen, Denmark Did not visit port

This stopover was cancelled due to strong winds! That is why we stayed longer than expected in Copenhagen.

Oslo, Norway

5 out of 5
Oslo is the capital of Norway. We opted for a city tour with Hop-On, Hop-Off. We made 2 stops which must absolutely see! National Opera House: The roof of the building is designed so that you can walk on it. The Vigeland (Frognerparken) Sculpture Park: Sculptures of human form, splendid, park as far as the eye can see, grandiose...

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Well organized and on time!
