Review summary

Cruising this area of the world was wonderful. Beautiful landscapes, interesting ports of call,

Embarkation

4 out of 5
All went well, but the port in Reykjavik isn small, so you don't enter into a large terminal. Forrtunately we didn't arrive at a busy time, but there will still a pile up of private cars and then we had to inch along in a single line, up a small ramp, walk through a small booth, and then the RSSC staff could assist with our bags just before we walked up the gangway onto the ship. If you are mobility challenged, you will need assistance.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food in all restaurants is uniformly very good to excellent. Our only disappointment is some recipes used in Chartreuse, the French specialty restaurant. Throughout our past 3 cruises we have provided the same feedback on a few dishes and the recipes have not changed. Maybe we are in the minority with our opinion.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The fitness center is of exceptional quality as are the Serene Spa services

Entertainment

5 out of 5
RSSC Has "up their game" on this cruise and our Fall Colors 2023 Mariner cruise. We were very pleased with the quality of the rotating visiting entertainers and the RSSC troupe.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Across the board, stellar service and competency from the room stewards, butler, wait staff, Destination Services, and Reception desk staff.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
This was our first trip on the Splendor and it is truly a magnificent ship. Can't wait for our upcoming cruses on the Explorer and Grandeur.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Beautifully appointed and the deck at the front of the ship is magnificent. No full-length mirror other than the decorative one on the DR wall. Magnificent an spacious Master Bath. Chairs and couches comfortable.

Ship tip

Take time to really look at all the art work on the wall and the finishing touches throughout the ship
