March is a great time to visit the Caribbean and the islands chosen were some of the best.
The mangoes were ripening and the custard apples were just ripe in the DR and in the commonwealth of Dominica. For some one raised in NE India nothing can even come close.
Happy sailing every one .....
Embarkation
4 out of 5
As smooth as it comes. I gave a 4* instead of 5 only because COVID has put a damper on everything
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Comparable to only the best of the land side restaurants
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Enjoyed the pools, fitness center and jogging track.
I rate the activities a 5* because they fit the clientele (including me) like a T.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Not really top notch but suited everyone just fine
Great port shadowed by the volcano and more like the rest of the DR than (say) Punta Cana. An excellent city and enjoyable excursion if you are not looking for clones of Miami everywhere!
El Kapitan decided to cancel this port because of choppy sea. However, two other cruise ships did make the port. Were they better sailors? Or, may be our captain did not want to put a scratch on the brand new ship.
