Wonderful Cruise on a Fantastic Ship by michaelemic

Certainly one of the best transatlantic cruises we have been on. Thoroughly enjoyed it all. Would not hesitate to sail on Regent again.

Wonderful Spring Break by Skipflint

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Seven Seas Explorer / Destination: Caribbean

This was our second Regent cruise with two other couples and the both cruises were outstanding. The crew is friendly, helpful and courteous. When Regent says all inclusive they mean everything. My total bill at checkout was $26.50 for some dry cleaning. The cruise is worth every penny we paid. Will sign up for a third cruise for sure.

Winter Get Away by ltnuanceholder

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Seven Seas Explorer / Destination: Caribbean

Love the design and layout of the Explorer . Desiree Parks, our Cruise Consultant is always available and helpful in our planning process. We have spent a lot of time in the Eastern Carribean on private sailIng charters. This region has the infrastructure for tourism and we feel that the Western Caribbean is in the early stages of building up these countries for tourism. Would not recommend this cruise because of the ports of call destinations.

Lovely cruise on the spectacular Explorer by jww5531nc

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple

So much to like about cruising with Regent. The service continues to be excellent. The many choices of restaurants on the Explorer can be overwhelming.

Seven Seas Explorer - most luxurious ship in the world! by chuckinsancarlo

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Seven Seas Explorer / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

Hands down, most excellent on board experience of all of our 5 cruises. Fabulous new ship. Only real weakness was lameness of a number of the shore excursions, and narrow little old-town streets all start to look alike after a while.

Spoiled on our first Cruise by Green5

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Seven Seas Explorer / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

We will do another cruse on this cruise line. Loved eating and when finished, no checks or tips. Also loved the Business Class flights to and from. We never felt over crowded.

Phenomenal cruise experience by runninginkeller

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Seven Seas Explorer / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

Overall, we really loved our cruise and this cruise line. However, it is very pricey and not a great choice for kids under 12 or so. The experience is 1st class all the way, especially the food and service.

British Isles by psteiner

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Seven Seas Explorer / Destination: United Kingdom

Dartmouth was our favorite port.  I highly recommend the River Ferry and Steam Train shore excursion in Dartmouth!

Overall, the itinerary was excellent!  The Explorer was the most beautiful ship I have ever been on! Great restaurants and great staff!

Tender service was not good.  They only use 3 small tenders from the ship and do not hire any extras from the port authority.  This results in up to one hour plus waits for tender service.  This is especially bad when it is raining!

We missed the port of Cobh, Ireland because the captain did not order enough tugs to get us away from the dock in Liverpool, England.  This resulted in an extra sea day.  Disappointing!

mr bill & miss nancy by WilliamKircher

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Seven Seas Explorer / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

everything was on schedule no flaws and everything went off as planned and expected.  i compare this with our 3 cruises on the mariner. the rooms were more elegant than the mariner but that was expected and learning from the staff, clients on how to improve and this was accomplished

would recommend the explorer to anyone without exception.  we did have some remarks but that will not stop us from future cruises with reagent

Best Cruise Ship Ever! by passin

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Seven Seas Explorer / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

Suite accommodations were out of this world. Food was excellent. Attention to detail was great. Butler and housekeeping services excellent. In cruise shopping adequate. Main dining room was best, but Italian restaurant and French Restaurant also great. Casual on deck dining was always excellent. Spa services were OK but very expensive. Great to have all wine and drinks included. Tips also included.

Seven Seas Explorer met expectations for excellence. by bgedwardsmd68

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Seven Seas Explorer / Destination: Caribbean

The new ship, apparently. has been flawlessly designed and constructed in all respects; it is luxurious.  The crew provided excellent service throughout.  The cuisine and wine selections (all-inclusive) were excellent. Lectures were excellent,,

Although somewhat repetitive in theme, the entertainment was very good;.

A nice floating hotel by 19march10

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Seven Seas Explorer / Destination: Caribbean

Two things stood out on this cruise:  The Artful Traveler series of fascinating lectures and entertainment.  The mix of politics and entertainment was something we've never experienced before on a cruise.  This is truly unique to Regent as it is done in association with NPR and PBS Stations.  We also loved the Culinary classes.  A fantastic setting with wonderful instructors.  Caution: if you take these classes, the food and wine is so spectacular you will not want to dine in any restaurant that evening.  This is truly special.  The Explorer is beautiful and luxurious with a wonderful staff.

Friendly and complementary service all over the ship. The personal type of service by EVERY staff member. Every wish was immediately responded to.

Dining: Superb appointments in all the restaurants, both the specialty (3) and the regular (2) restaurants. This included the special Versace designed services in some restaurants. The quality of he food was first class or better.

The RSS Explorer is a Wonderful Ship by OntheGo

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Seven Seas Explorer / Destination: Panama Canal, Central America

We have traveled on Regent for more than 15 years and have always been pleased, but with the RSS Explorer Regent has gone beyond our expectations.  The ship only carries 750 passengers but feels much larger.  The three specialty restaurants are large and provide a very diverse selection of food, from great steaks, to Asian and French.   The design of the main dining room (Compass Rose) provides smaller areas to reduce the loudness of a large dining room.  Art throughout the ship is beautiful and there are multiple places throughout the ship to have a quite drink and relax.  Lastly, in our opinion, the staterooms are the biggest reason to sail on this ship.  Large rooms with seating, decks that are so comfortable you might not get out of your room all day, and large bathrooms so that you are not runnig over each other.  Can't wait for our next sailing on this vessel!!

Wonderful Holiday Cruise by Cruiser40815192

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Seven Seas Explorer / Destination: Panama Canal, Central America

Time spent aboard the ship and time on shore was all wonderful.  The ship is beautiful and the all of the crew we met were welcoming and gracious.  There was a feeling that our enjoyment was important to the crew.  The ship was immaculately clean, the dining was exceptional and the bedding encouraged a good night's sleep.  This is our 5th cruise with Regent and we hope to return soon.

When you compare to a Silver Sea's cruise, it doesn't! by lyndayachimec

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Seven Seas Explorer / Destination: Caribbean

The Beds were very comfortable.  We found that the food and service is better on Silver SeasCruise's.  We ordered our Xmas dinner with Turkey and all the fixings and it came out cold, very disappointing! Next Cruise will be with Silver Seas!

THe cabins were excellent and the tour options and arrangements were very good.WE are mostly vegeterian and that was challenging despite trying hard from very early on as many veg options has chicken stock or were sweet smoothies which we try to avoid.
