Review summary

Two things stood out on this cruise: The Artful Traveler series of fascinating lectures and entertainment. The mix of politics and entertainment was something we've never experienced before on a cruise. This is truly unique to Regent as it is done in association with NPR and PBS Stations. We also loved the Culinary classes. A fantastic setting with wonderful instructors. Caution: if you take these classes, the food and wine is so spectacular you will not want to dine in any restaurant that evening. This is truly special. The Explorer is beautiful and luxurious with a wonderful staff.

The Compass Rose was a disappointment as it's ordinary and the service is sporadic and somewhat chaotic. The other restaurants are truly remarkable.

The Culinary Class with Chef Kelly and Chef LaNoue made this trip something we'll always remember. We cooked, we ate, we drank and we learned.

Entertainment

From Jennifer and Michael (stewardess/steward) to Umberto, Fabrizio, Daniella, Eloise, Stephane, in the Sette Mare and Chartreuse, to all the staff, you can't ask for a friendlier more accommodating group.
