Review summary

We chose a 6 day inland tour combined with a 7 day cruise, all through Regent Seven Seas. Most every part of our trip was handled seamlessly. We got a real flavor for our spectacular 49th state. Our only minimally negative comment, we would have liked a better flight schedule (provided by Regent), especially on the return. Outbound was convenient even with a layover. However, nonstops were available from our starting point and would have shortened our travel day by nearly 5 hours. The return was worse with about eleven hours of wait time between two airports when again nonstop flights were available.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The three specialty restaurants and the main dining area Compass Rose were all excellent. The breakfast buffet and pool deck buffet had a wide array of choices and all our choices were very good. Restaurant & buffet service personnel were excellent.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We participated in only a few onboard games....they were and we had a few laughs. The spa pool (located on the fantail) was very nice with excellent views, Water could have been a little warmer and hair dryers should have been in the locker rooms (this was still in a cool time of year). Fitness center had an extraordinary view with nice equipment.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We saw most of the nighttime shows. Regent could use some improvement in this area. Four of the six shows we saw were very good while the other two were just okay. All the shows were only 40 minutes.

Children's Programs

No children in our party.

Service and Staff

All ship's personnel that we encountered were stupendous, to include room service. Regent shines like no other in this area!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Since this is a somewhat smaller ship, it is very easy to get around. They layout is mostly well though out. The only item worth noting, decks below number 5 can only be accessed by the elevator cluster and staircase located more forward in the ship. Decks 3 & 4 were utilized for theater shows and disembarking for port excursions.

Cabin / Stateroom

This suite had a wow factor! Not the biggest available suite but excellent none the less. A spacious & fantastic design. Comfort and cleanliness were excellent. Housekeeping tended to our room twice daily including turn down service.

Ship tip

Sit back, relax a bit and enjoy a truly exceptional shipboard experience.

A somewhat typical port. Came to this port at the conclusion of our six day tour of the Alaska interior.

Very touristy port. We did two excursions this day. The "great Alaskan lumberjack show". It was lots of fun....we highly recommend. The other was a roughly 2 mile hike. The guide was outstanding, the views and wildlife were well worth the walk.

Cruise Inside Passage, Alaska

This was another cruising day. Again, the views were sensational.

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

Beautiful port and city. Wish we had concluded our trip with two or three days in this wonderful location.

Well organized and a final opportunity to say goodbye to new friends. Please note that they like you out of your rooom by 8 AM and wait for your disembarking call in the common areas of the main lobby on deck five. Our time was around 9:10AM.
