Review summary

Overall, we had an amazing time on this cruise. From the ship itself to port calls we stopped at we just had a blast.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
The terminal we boarded from was probably the quickest process I think I’ve ever had. Shoreside to gangway in pretty much 10 minutes. Pretty dang good if you ask me.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food I had at the buffet was pretty good on my end, and the Chop’s Grille restaurant did not disappoint.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
I had a blast participating in the activities onboard. For example, I participated in the Hot Seat challenge onboard and it was amazing! The Quest scavenger hunt game with the groups was fun to watch and hilarious to be apart of. I never really found myself bored while being onboard. I was always reading the activity board for my next thing.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We didn’t do a lot of the theater shows this trip but the one we did see was pretty good. The performers that were scattered around the ship: pool deck, schooner bar, centrum were all pretty good.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff that we had throughout our trip were very good and very nice to us. My family and I always enjoyed striking up conversations between our room stewards and waiters.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship seemed to be well maintained during my sailing and the ship’s layout was easy to navigate. Good class of ship to sail on.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
I liked our cabin. Walking between the bed to get to the balcony was a little tight but it wasn’t intrusive. Room was very clean throughout the trip.

Ship tip

Great ship! If you are looking for more of a traditional cruising experience I’d definitely recommend this class. The ship may not have all the WOW things the newer ships have but she is still great ship to sail on for a fun vacation.

Ports of call

Cozumel, Mexico

3 out of 5
If you haven’t been here yet, might I recommend doing an excursion instead of walking around the town area because there isn’t really much outside of the port area. We did a scuba excursion and afterwords we walked around the port shops (of course everyone working at the shops REALLY trying to persuade you to go into the stores) then we just went back to the ship.

Tampa, Florida

4 out of 5
We walked around Ybor City the day before we boarded. It was a nice walk. We ate at the Columbia restaurant at the end of the main road in Ybor, and it was pretty dang good.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

5 out of 5
We enjoyed this port of call. We did the Chacchoben Mayan ruins. It was a great excursion and I’d definitely recommend it if you haven’t done it yet.

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

5 out of 5
Had a great time at this port of call. We did an excursion where we got to hold sloths, birds, and monkeys. I’d definitely recommend coming here.

Belize City, Belize

4 out of 5
We mainly walked around the port area here. Next time, we go we’ll definitely book an excursion. If you haven’t been here, they do use tenders and it’s a about 25-30 minute ride from the ship to shore.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Just like embarking the ship, it was very quick to leave the ship(which I didn’t want to do of course) . Very nice process.

Great review! We did this same itinerary in 2010, but on Carnival out of New Orleans. Would have been better on RCCL!

You did have a wonderful time and cruise. My husband and I cruised on the ship for a 30th wedding anniversary in 2019. We had a very good time we've been to the Port of Call that you've been to on other Cruise lines.

Appreciate your detailed review. Sounds like you get the “biggest bang for your buck” on the ship or in port, well done. Glad you enjoyed your cruise.
