Review summary

We had a great cruise, we were lucky with the weather too. Lovely staff on this ship.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation was slick, especially as three cruise ships were turning around at Vancouver Cruise Port that day. Well done to the port staff.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We didn’t try the specialty dining but the food in the MDR and windjammer was very nice and service was great. There was sixteen in our party but the staff put us on two close tables and really looked after us.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We didn’t get involved with too many activities but they were fun to watch. We enjoyed the pools and hot tubs.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We loved the quizzes, karaoke and games. The entertainment staff were such fun, especially Silvia, Adri and Bruno. The ships band were great and we enjoyed the juggler and the musical’s show.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Service and staff were super friendly and helpful

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship is older but actually we found it very charming

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Comfortable, clean bed. Decent size balcony. Quite a small TV with limited channels.

Ports of call

Cruise Tracy Arm Fjord, Alaska

5 out of 5
We had to get up very early as we slowly weaved our way through Tracy Arm Fjord. It reminded me of Jason and the Argonaughts. We got as close to the glacier as possible and the crew got into a lifeboat to grab a floating piece of ice to bring on board to show us.

Haines, Alaska

3 out of 5
Not much to do unless you do an excursion

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
Juneau is lovely. We went into the Red Dog Saloon, it’s just like the old west with sawdust floor and saloon girls. Great fun! We also booked a whale watching tour through Seaspray Holidays on Facebook and it was fantastic, we saw loads of whales.

Skagway, Alaska

5 out of 5
In Skagway we bought tickets for the White Pass Yukon Route Railway. Beautiful scenery and interesting commentary.

Sitka, Alaska

5 out of 5
We got the shuttle bus into Sitka and booked on a tour outside the Civic Centre for the Raptor Centre and Bear Fortress. Really enjoyed it and they dropped us back at the ship.

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

5 out of 5
Vancouver is a fantastic city with a great vibe. I recommend hiring bikes and riding around the sea wall.

Cruise Inside Passage, Alaska

5 out of 5

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
No problem with disembarkation
