Actually not too bad, went smoothly. Was expecting it to be worse as reading other posts from other people's experiences. So happy to have had no problems and was on board in no time.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Omgoodness the food was Amazing. We just stayed with the Windjammer. The main dining was full for the first few days, so we stuck with the Windjammer. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. It was clean and very well stocked. The staff was truly an experience we won't forget.

Onboard Activities

I thought the pools were bigger and more hot tubs, but there was only 3 hot tubs for a whole lot of people. So we only got one chance to use it. A couple of times all was closed due to the weather but that's the nature of the seas and mother nature. 😆. We did have fun with the mini golf course.

All I can say is Amazing. Our stateroom was always cleaned, morning and evening. Our room attendant (Edy) was so kind, and always had a smile on his face.

Room was very clean. Lots of space to hang clothes, drawers for personal clothing items and all other accessories. Suitcases fit under bed out of the way the also fit in the closet as well with still lots of room. Plenty of storage room for 2 people with no clutter if you are organized. Our room attendant (Edy) was truly amazing. Room neat and tidy morning and evening. What more could you want.

Ship tip

Have fun, enjoy and remember to be kind, make memories and smile 😃. A smile makes a difference in this world of chaos.

Very clean, nice and interesting. I just found that retailers were very pushy to sell you their products. It would be nice if they sold products that were done locally.

We embarked and disembarked.

Skagway, Alaska

Such a quaint place. Loved the historic vibe. We took the White pass train tour. It was nice, but would have been nice to get off and stretch your legs as sitting on their train benches was a chore after 3 hours. I would recommend it though, just bring a cushion for your butt. Would have like to have stayed longer in this port. Not enough time to enjoy all that Skagway had to offer.

Sitka, Alaska

The bus tour to town was very informative. Cute island, lots of interesting sites. My only bad thing would be not enough benches to sit and rest your feet as we took my 81 yr old father with us.

Disembarkation

It was strange as we took our luggage off. They never announced it, it was only through the TV. It would have been nice to go floor by floor as there was a rush to get on an elevator 🙃. Mad dash to get off. When you finally get off the ship there was not a lot of information on where to go after that. We just ended up giving our declaration in and heading to our parked car. No customs to go through, we filled out the ArriveCan but did not need to show. That was a waste of time filling that process out. So overall we were in our car within 30 minutes from leaving the ship.
