Review summary

We slept. We ate. We had fun. The shows aren’t broadway quality but still excellent. This was the kind of vacation that makes you hate your life outside of vacation.

Embarkation

There was a bit of a line for customs at the Vancouver port but the machines made the process quick and relatively painless.

Ship tip

Beside The windjammer cafe there is a drink station that’s open all night good for water. There is no card room only a place next to mdr with tables where you can play games. Check out the views at deck 13 Viking club, have a drink on the rotating bar! Don’t expect as many food options in the buffet as the other ships but there is still plentyyyyy to choose from.

Ports of call

Ketchikan, Alaska

Our favorite port. We didn’t need a formal tour, plenty to see and do within walking distance. Cool jellyfish in the port. And the town is easily navigated, lot of easy to follow signage.

Sitka, Alaska

We were lucky and had amazing weather when we pulled to all of our ports this sailing. Sitka is great town to walk around. There’s a drug store available for any things you might need.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We had a later flight so took advantage of being crown and anchor gold members and relaxed in the safari club for as long as we could. When we were ready to go, we walked right off and picked up our bags, no line at all. You can store your bags for a fee at Pacific Place if you have some time and want to explore Vancouver for a few hours on your own. This was the first disembarkation that was absolutely a breeze!
