Review summary

We had a good time on our cruise, but we’ve only cruised on Carnival in the past. We thought Royal Caribbean would be a step up, but we didn’t see it that way. Will probably stick with Carnival in the future.

Appreciate your feedback. Glad you enjoyed your cruise. It is wise to try other lines and decide what fits your needs best. I let the Carnival bashing just roll off my shoulders. I’m too old to care what others say about things I like.

It is fortunate that we all have many choices for cruising. Thanks for sharing your ideas and experiences.

You need to go on an Oasis Class ships with Royal as there is a night and day difference between Royal and Carnival, aka the Walmart of cruising.

Thanks for the review. There are a lot more similarities than differences between Carnival, Royal Caribbean and NCL. The age and size of the ship is more important than the specific cruise line.

We had the same experience. After being a long time carnival cruiser...because they comped all our cruisers, we decided to try all the "much better" cruise lines... we did Norwegian, MSC, princess, Disney and royal. We happily returned to Carnival. They were all good, but not much better, and in many areas not as good. Its just fashionable to bash Carnival...especially if you paid more for another cruise line and want to feel better about your decision.
