Review summary

Great was fabulous, Alaska was incredible. I highly recommend a balcony for this cruise. Research what happens if leaving the ship in Vancouver and testing positive for COVID, it will be helpful if needed. We were left in an unknown country scrambling to figure everything out on the fly. I am still trying to figure expense reimbursements with very little answers. But am sure with time it will get sorted out.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
we were told to make reservations, if we knew this only meant we would be in a giant line, we would have arrived earlier

no complaints, plenty of choices.

easy to get off the ship. My husband tested positive for COVID immediately leaving the ship and life became very chaotic immediately. We were fish out of the water and immediately needed to navigate unchartered waters. I am still trying to figure out how to be reimbursed for expenses we have been told would be covered. Any suggestions in reply email would be greatly appreciated. Lpoulin@preti.com

Just received confirmation from RCCL that my hotel costs (room and room service) for the 5 days I spent in quarantine, will be covered by RCCL. RCCL will credit the amount I spent to the credit card I used for the cruise costs. SanJoseDan

We took the May 29th, cruise - Round trip from Vancouver - with an end date of June 5th. I tested Positive for COVID and was not allowed to fly home to California with my wife. Previously, on Day 4 or 5 of our cruise, RCCL delivered to our cabin "International Re-Entry Testing Options" which included web sites to arrange for COVID testing and, on page 2, "After You Test" information. The last paragraph on page 2 stated "At our sole discretion, we may be able to reimburse $250 USD per night for isolation or quarantine accommodations, (b) $100 USD per person / per day for incidental meal costs (alcohol excluded), and up to $400 USD per person in carrier change fees." I called RCCL Guest Services at 800-256-6649 and was given instructions on what to submit and where to submit to (royalguestrelations@rccl.com). I sent the info on June 12th and received a confirmation of its arrival from RCCL. I have not received any updates as of today, July 9, 2022.

Contact Royal Caribbean, you’re probably covered under Cruise with Confidence, insist on being put through to their Resolutions department
