Review summary

The Cruise Staff made the ship experience outstanding for us, they were friendly, professional, and helped us with everything we needed. The Staff was knowledgeable and could answer all of our questions with ease. Also, the restaurant and bar service were excellent. We would definitely book with Royal again.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
The embarkation helper, Annie, made our boarding experience easy. My parents were both in wheel chairs. We were all a bit nervous on how we would handle the lines, luggage and process, but Annie made everything super simple and easy! She went above and beyond and really took the stress out of the entire embarkation process. Then as the staff from the ship took over to actually get us on board, another amazing helper came along, Mary. She was amazing too!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Again the staff was spectacular! Rana and JoJo were incredible! In the main dining room Rana and JoJo were are main waiters. They were super kind, attentive, but not too attentive, happy, helpful and always there if we needed anything. We also saw then in other areas of the ship like the windjammer, (the buffet). They always came over to say hi and made us feel welcome. Loved these two!

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
The onboard activates were lacking, but it is a smaller ship and I guess that is what I should have expected.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
Again this is a smaller ships entertainment was just ok. There were some really good performances though. The juggler/comedian was outstanding and the cruise director was good too. Other than that it was just ok.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff was outstanding as mentioned earlier. Mary, a drink server, was spectacular as well.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The layout and design is nice, but some parts of the ship need attention and the public restrooms were messy and smelly.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Our initial cabin was ok, then we upgraded to a balcony. It was ok too. Again it's an older ship, so don't expect too much.

Ship tip

Don't expect too much... it's a older ship
