Review summary

Poor port design. Terrible ship management. Don't count on any juice drinks, fresh milk, bananas, grapes, fresh lobster and the like. Lack of supplies, combined with in-route maintenance meant closed or reduced capacity at shows and the crown & anchor (closed). Concierge lounge was full and very noisy. I have no plans to sail this cruise line again.

Embarkation

1 out of 5
Port not up to standards of modern cruising. No passenger comfort facilities.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
The ship was missing 50+% of its normal provisions.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Outdoor areas understaffed, so exterior pool closed in good weather.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
Unable to gain entrance to show's due to overcrowding and lack of staff.

Children's Programs

I do not have Chldren.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All of the staff was terrific! Even short staffed, they try to do their best. All were friendly and helpful within their constraints. However, ship hotel management is fully indifferent to staff and guest. Every multiple cruise guest in the Concierge lounge was very upset with management and the lack of staff and basics provisions.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The ship was under large scale maintenance while underway. removal of handholds, scraping of decks, non-stop noise.

Cabin / Stateroom

2 out of 5
Rock hard bed. No coffee service. Limited staff reduced suite service. Interior surfaces, like the flooring are visibly worn.

Ship tip

Do not sail.

Thanks for the review. Sounds like cruising is probably not for you. Most people go to Alaska for the incredible scenery and port and don’t really care much about the amenities on the ship.
