Overall this was an enjoyable cruise. I feel that the onboard activities needs to be beefed up. Trivia seems to be the main activity onboard during the daytime. The cruise director is horrible! Hopefully there will be a new one before our cruise in October.

Everything went smoothly.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The main dining room menus need an overhaul. The firstnight I had the steak. It was tough and tasteless. The second night I had the chicken breast which was good. After that we never went to the main dining room. Bring back the cold soups and not so much fish!
Onboard Activities

Entertainment
4 out of 5
The onboard performers only did two shows. These were less than stellar, but there are some talented people in the cast. The entertainment that was brought on board were all very good. Carlo, in the Pub is a phenomenal musician! He has a fantastic singing voice as well as an excellent guitar player. He plays many different genres and gets the audience involved.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The service was excellent in all areas of the ship.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Although an older ship, Serenade is still quite grand. The Centrum doesn’t lend itself to large events as there is not adequate seating and it is hard to see what is happening on the stage. The art auctions need to take place in the conference room so that they are not closing the Safari Club every sea day.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
The room is small but has plenty of storage space. Our attendant kept the room very clean.
For the people doing self disembarkation it was very chaotic. None of the staff seemed to know where exactly we were to meet. It took a very long time to get us off the ship due to other issues with customs.
I don’t to cruise for cruise director, I go to have fun enjoy myself and have a great time, most of the ships that I went on vacation they were very big, I don’t even know the name of the cruise director it’s too much to do
