Review summary

This cruise gives you a great taste of all the small islands in this itinerary from the biggest Aruba to the smallest St. Lucia. Each island is distinctively different but all have wonderful water and great people. If you love to be on the water this cruise is for you. We had an excursion at every port that included either snorkeling or swimming or both and all from some kind of watercraft both power and sail. In every case the excursions were right on and well worth the money. If you are a shopper Aruba is the place to do it with everything you can imagine but the best of all diamonds! The other islands have some shops but are not nearly as plentiful. The crew onboard was spectacular and the nightime entertainment the best we have seen on any RC ship. All in all a great time had by all!

There were three of us in the room this time so a bit confined if you left the couch down i a bed so we put it up every day. Otherwise we really enjoy having a balcony. The dimmer for the bathroom light doesn't work so hope it gets fixed soon( we forgot to tell the cabin ayyendant about it). The room was always clean and enviting thanks to our superb cabin attendant Gerrylyn and we can't wait to see her again next June 2017 on out trip to the Balkans aboard the same ship. Next time we are trying a Jr. suite since there will be three adults again.

Ship tip

Be sure to try the restaurant for breakfast one morning instead of using the Windjammer every morning. We realized late in the cruise that they serve from 0800-0930 in the same restaurant you are assigned and it is a sit down served breakfast... Delightful for a relaxed day at sea!

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

Easy to get in and out of. If you are flying use the Ft. Lauderdale airport instead of Miami if you can... It is less than a mile from the port.

Oranjestad, Aruba

Take an excursion that circumnavigates the whole island by 80 foot catamaran. You stop for a fantastic lunch made on board while swimming and snorkeling and then the sights of the whole island inluding the Pitons is wonderful!
