Review summary
The ship is in good shape and the employees were very friendly and helpful. The stateroom was clean and cheerful, the bathroom is very small. The food was very good in the main dining room and buffet, not so much in Chops. The service was poor and "family style" servings of sides small and cold. No offer of coffee, hard to get water refills. Main dining was much better. Unfortunately the ship had an inbound mechanical so boarding was postponed until late afternoon with some denied boardings. We all waited outside in the cold for hours and then everyone went inside the building and stood in line for several more hours to register. We did not leave the port until the next afternoon. The TV was inop for another day as was the main theatre. We could not go into Coco Cay due to winds and the stay in Key West was cut short. Nassau, was cold and windy…no loss there. New Orleans is not the best port to use in winter months. RC did give us a small credit for the inconvenience. As you can see, it had its ups and downsides. As with all vacations, you never know what can happen!

Thanks for sharing your experience. It seems that the cruise had problems right from the beginning with embarkation. What a mixed bag of events. Here's hoping for a better experience next time. At least you liked your room and the food in most venues was good. My sister just came back from a cruise and their ship could not get into Coco Cay either.
