Review summary
The itinerary of this cruise was perfect for us. A pleasant surprise was the port of Dubrovnik, Croatia--this was a gorgeous place. We enjoyed all the ports and were sad we were unable to stop at Split, Croatia due to the weather. The captain determined it was too unsafe to Tender us to port and actually ended up proceeding early to our next stop of Dubrovnik. The ship and its personnel were very accommodating. There was surely plenty to do. The food was very good as usual with Royal Caribbean. One night I did order prime rib which tended to be rather fatty and should have sent it back. We have travelled on Royal Caribbean once before and we were very pleased which is why we elected to return to Royal Caribbean and are now Crown and Anchor members which is their loyalty group. We have also been on Princess which was nice, but feel Royal Caribbean is just a step above. We basically toured each port on our own, but in Venice decided to take the St. Marks/Doges Palace tour with Royal Caribbean. We felt for the $99 spent, the tour was fine, but rather rushed. One other comment I would make is about the smokiness of the casino. Think RC should make a smaller segregated area for smokers. It was bothersome. But, overall, we had an amazing time with an amazing cruise line and ship.
