Review summary
We have sailed the serenade of the seas on a 14 day round trip to Hawaii and had a great time on board.
Since we like the radiance class of ships we decided to take a short 7 day cruise to the Bahama's and get out of the cold weather for a bit. Royal had refurbished the ship last year and had removed the Seaview cafe, a wonderful little nook on deck 12 aft, and added an oriental cafe ($5.00 please) in its place. They also removed the covered wicker chairs on one side of the outside eating area and in its place they added a Mexican cantina ( a la carte menu $$$). The activities on board are outdated. On all of our 18 previous they have had the same boring napkin folding, towel folding, belly flop contest (change that one so that the women can participate) love and marriage game, etc....that they repeated on this cruise.
The staff were amazing and we will sail Royal again. They might even have some fun things to do on board.
