Review summary

The cruise was average, but that's the sum of some high highs and low lows. Some of the dining and entertainment is absolutely world class. But I would definitely avoid the add-on food beverage choices (we saw staff mixing bottles of alcohol, which is illegal in the US) and the

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Mostly smooth but the first employee of Seabourn I met was seriously stressed out and complaining about the company...

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Tremendous variety - we found two places we loved and two that were not so good (not what I expected at first).

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Skews to an older demographic but we saw some performances I would consider truly world class.

Children's Programs

No children's programs on the ship

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Such a mixed bag - we had some of the best stewards ever and some unacceptable service failures to the point I am not sure we will go back.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Excellent cleanliness, maintenance, and ease of navigation.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Plenty of room, great service, and clean. We might not do the balcony again on the lower deck because we got so much sea spray it was not usable for about half the total trip.

Ship tip

Try the dining venues ASAP - we saw tremendous variety in quality of food and service. The venues that aren't as busy are best because the ship seemed understaffed in the food and beverage areas

Super easy - clear directions, no rush to be evicted from the ship, and bags were waiting for us.
