This was a very powerful and moving trip to the landing beaches and US cemetary. It is something I will never forget.

Cruise along the Seine through the pastures and apple orchards of Normandy en route to medieval Rouen. See the gothic cathedral spire and rose windows, a favorite subject of Monet. Stand in the cobbled square where Joan of Arc was burned at the stake. Or venture out to Giverny to see Monet's home, lily-pond and gardens.

I was excited to visit this city and was under the impression we had the entire day here. Unfortunately we had to back at the ship by noon and left. This was the one place where there were many restaurants and shops and couldn't take advantage of it.

be prepared for over two hour coach ride to get there and a mass production, poor quality lunch but the trip is still very well worth it

Loved the city, loved the Joan of Arc church especially, though Rouen is better known for the cathedral that Monet made so famous. We had seen his paintings at Musee Orsay, so it was wonderful to see the inspiration. And we had plenty of time to wander around!
