very nicely organized cruise

This ship needs a big overhaul. Excursion and front desk personnel were totally unresponsive regarding a problem we had with an excursion. Food was so-so. Sterling Steakhouse which was extra was just part of the buffet that they curtained off.

This was our first Princess cruise and we sailed to Alaska in August on the Sapphire Princess. We were very pleased with the ship it was very clean and the staterooms were quite comfortable. The food was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed the selections offered. The staff was pleasant and friendly and they all spoke English so it was easy to communicate our needs.

Great ship

I booked 8 cabins... 16 of immediate family from all over the country...had cruised with Princess in March booked Princess again as you advertise perks for repeat customers as many others lines do......like an upgrade or free cabin...or at least champagne as we celebrated 62nd Wedding Anniversary, 84th birthday and 24th birthday...your cheap ship gave a cupcake to denote these occasions.

The ship is kept very clean throughout with the one exception to the Horizon Court

A fabulous cruise line with exceedingly professional cruise staff. The shore excursions were well organized and varied and thoroughly enjoyable.

This was our 3rd cruise to Alaska. Enjoyed very much the 1st 2. Main complaint == "discretionary" amount added for service employes. 2nd -- Food looked wonderful but seemed to be tasteless and/or stale (bread/pastries). Internet service - $.75/minute!! Value for money? Don't think so!

Something for everybody and everybody's bucket list.

A cruise to Alaska is the best way to visit Alaska. Some very interesting places have no access to them but by water and air. Obviously, it would be difficult to travel by air to a few cities in one trip. So, it just leaves the water. And, if you are staying in an all-inclusive resort, i.e. a luxury cruise liner - you have the best of the best!

Great ship. The service was excellent. Views were amazing. Saw whales from the ship and the glaciers were spectacular. Unbelievable scenery. Restaurants were nice, but they charge $20/person for both the Steakhouse and the Italian spot. Our fitness instructors were great, but they charged $30/person for 3 spin classes during the week. Gym is over-crowded in the AM and needs an update. If you like to have a couple of drinks, be prepared to pay. Even at the welcome party when it looked like a waiter was giving away drinks, you had to supply a room key. Everything is pricey. Once you get to the port, those stores have deals back with the ship. Pools are small and constantly crowded. Good luck if you want to swim laps. But the people who work on this ship were amazing - friendly, outgoing, caring... Can't say enough.

The ship was clean and the postings to locate the staterooms were easily read.

Staff was wonderful, food excellent, cabin steward excellent. Why does the ice Cream close so early? We would return from an excursion and it was closed, after dinner and it was closed. I have been on other cruiselines that had this feature 24 hrs and self serve.

Well maintained

Our suite was beautiful and our steward mark Giliang was wonderful, but all the extra costs (sodas, exercise classes, over priced excursions) after spending thousands for the cruise made it for an unpleasant experience. I just felt like every seminar was a scam to get you to spend more money. The food in the buffet was also disappointing, so we ate at the burger and pizza parlors. It was relaxing, but I wouldn't take another cruise with princess.

We we not impressed with this cruise ship. Before I start I would recommend this to older couples who dont want to do anything on the ship. First of all we were very surprised that the ship closed the ice cream , snack , and pizza bars at 7pm. We found it somewhat wierd that the ice cream shop closed so early since most people would like ice cream after dinner for a dessert and closing at 7pm doenst give much opportunity to do so. Secondly, the production shows to us seemed sub-par to the others we have seen . We ran into a photographer on our first formal night that was EXTREMELY rude and I had actually notified the service staff and it seemed nothing was done about it. There were couples standing in line that left because of his attitude. Lastly our steward was not as personal as most are. He never called us by name just asked how our room was. We had bought some etched souvenir champagne glasses on the ship and our steward took them out of our room. It took 3 DAYS to get them back!! We really enjoyed the actual cruise itself but not necessarilly the ship.

We had a group of ten and not a bad word was had by anyone. Great trip.

This was my first cruise and lived up to all my expectaions. Now I understand why cruising is an addiction. I just trying to figure out when I can take my next cruise.
