Embarkation

If you have your medallion (we had ours mailed), you can walk right on. No line or anything!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Be sure to eat in the dining rooms. They all have the same menu but different vibes. Since this is our first cruise, we didn't know we needed reservations. Since the dining rooms were books, we just showed up at 5pm and were seated right away. Wonderful food, I would never try at home. You may sit with other people, but it is a great way to connect!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We dipped in the pool twice because the weather was so beautiful. The fitness center has a free steam room and locker room.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
I loved the Assistant Cruise Directors! Nick, Lady Trish and Udi(?) were fun and really great!! Game shows are my jam!

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
We only went in the room where children had to be accompanied by adults. It is a great place to go and relax. Play a few games. Very few people. (starboard side)

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Jerald in the Wheelhouse bar was the best! Rolando, our Room Steward, could not have been nicer. Turn-down service! Really, everyone was wonderful.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
My husband did a tour of the kitchen. He worked in hospitality most of his life and said the kitchen was spotless.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
I thought I was going to be claustrophobic, but it felt fine with the large mirrors. The bathroom could use a little facelift, but it worked beautifully.

Ship tip

Coming from a hospitality background, we would have tipped as we go instead of getting the Plus Package. It makes a huge difference to the employees.

Ports of call

Whittier (Anchorage), Alaska Did not visit port

We just got on the boat. Very small town.

Cruise Hubbard Glacier

The boat toured the area, and we enjoyed the view, there was no getting off the boat.

Juneau Whale Tours - THE BEST!!!

Ketchikan, Alaska

Typical port. Loads of people and jewelry shops. A bit more to do here becuase it is the State Capital. Nice walking around.

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

DO NOT visit Hastings Street in Chinatown. My husband was terrified. Otherwise, a beautiful city!

Disembarkation

So fast and easy! If you can, carry your own bags.

Thanks for your review. Juneau is the state capital - not Ketchikan.
