Review summary

Wonderful experience. Alaska is truly one of the most exciting and favorite places I’ve ever experienced. Spectacular everywhere!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Relatively fast. The ship was full and a lot of people to get on board. They did a great job handling the crowds.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Buffet was ok but the rest of dining was very good. I thought a few of the drinks were weak, as in lacked alcohol, but were ok.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Most were well-done. Staff were amazing.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Production shows were good. Entertainment seemed to improve during the cruise.

Children's Programs

No kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff were really good. We felt very cared for and appreciated.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ruby Princess is an older ship but still very elegant and classy.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Showed some signs of age but still very nice and comfortable.

Ship tip

Buffet has been better but there are several choices. Main dining rooms are all very nice and great staff.

Ports of call

San Francisco, California

Can be a bit tight getting in and out but that is SF in a nutshell.

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
Beautiful city. Port is very nice and handles multiple ships and thousands of people remarkably well. Mendenhall Glacier and Nugget Falls is very pretty.

Skagway, Alaska

1 out of 5
Small town but very nice. Enjoyed White Pass Railway.

CRUISE ENDICOTT ARM & DAWES GLACIER

5 out of 5
Incredible!!! I miss it already. Captain made our visit extra special.

Ketchikan, Alaska

5 out of 5
Probably my favorite port, although they were all amazing. Very picturesque. Locals seemed a little less patient than other ports but with five ships in port at the same time it was a little crowded.

Prince Rupert, British Columbia

3 out of 5
It’s ok. Excursions were too expensive and not appealing. Walmart was probably the biggest attraction. It’s a fine port just not much we wanted to do. It was a little disappointing, especially following the spectacular beauty and magnificence of Alaska.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
A lot of people trying to get off at the same time. We were given clear repeated instructions but apparently that was still too difficult for some people. Staff were very good and professional, however.
