Review summary

This was a fantastic experience. We needed to get away and de-stress and this cruise let us do that. Room service and breakfast on the balcony was excellent and romantic. Even though it was a bit older crowd than expected, our fellow cruisers were all super friendly and social. We will definitely sail Princess again.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
This was not my first cruise but was my first sailing with Princess and by far the quickest, easiest and most enjoyable embarkation.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
While we didn't test out the specialty restaurants, the food in the main dining rooms was excellent. I enjoyed the variety of food choices and willingness to accommodate special requests.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We spent time by the pool which was soooo relaxing, saw a couple of shows; the comedy show was especially funny. We also took in a couple of craft classes which sounds corny but was a lot of fun, especially after a couple of mojitos.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
As I mentioned before, we saw a musical which was good, and the comedians were great. The DJs and live musicians were also really talented.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
The room steward was top notch as were the bar staff and most of the servers. Two nights in the DaVinci dining room we received really poor service. We eat early so it was crazy busy but on the 2 nights, dinner took us almost 2 hours each time. We saw tables around us come, eat and leave while we were there. It was especially disappointing.

Cabin / Stateroom

Our cabin number listed above is incorrect. We were in B339

Ship tip

The beverage pkg is a good deal if you drink more than 3 or 4 drinks per day. The wifi is not worth it---it either didn't work or was so slow for anything other than the Medallion App. My partner had the wifi and I didn't and I was not able to connect to the app at all. but I don't think

It was quick and easy although we were charged tax on the bottle of liquor we bought on the ship.
