Review summary

the embarkation was brutal, room was nice, wait and service staff very good, food was mediocre and entertainment was barely fair.

stood in line for 3 hours waiting to embark even though we had an embarkation time confirmed.

Specialty dinner: my lobster tail was tiny and almost inedible. Food in general was mediocre.

Didn't do any of the onboard activities because nothing appealed to us.

Saw a good movie and ventriloquist but the other entertainment was barely mediocre.

Room attendant and wait starr were WONDERFUL. Got different answers to the same question from different staff members....confusing.

Comfy bed, pretty clean, but water for showers and at sink were always too hot....hard to regulate

Ship tip

Don't expect good entertainment and very good food. Be kind to your service staff because they work so hard.

Seems to be a common theme for cruises out of San Francisco. Hope you enjoyed beautiful Alaska. I would cruise on a barge to get back to Alaska again LOL.

Sorry your first cruise was a bit of a disappointment. Things are not back to normal yet on any cruise line but we will hopefully start to get there, hope you give cruising another chance
