Embarkation

At port covid testing was required but it was quick and organized

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food was excellent with a lot of healthy choices in addition to indulgences. Ship staff is so happy to be back to work. The atmosphere is grateful and celebratory.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We enjoyed the pool, hot tub, putting green and played pickleball several times.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
All but 1 entertained a “10” rating.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Received the very best service the entire ship. They are so happy to be back to work

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The Ruby is in good shape with constant maintenance being performed. This caused a bit of noise at times and closing of portions of deck 7 for a bit but nothing unexpected.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
An obstructed view cabin that is a comfortable size. It was clean, our steward was very efficient. Auto motion lights have been installed and can be blinding at night so we brought tape to cover up the sensors.

Ship tip

Sit back, relax and enjoy your cruise!

Ports of call

San Francisco, California

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

We chose to walk around the pier rather than take an excursion. There are plenty of opportunities to barter for souvenirs. Ugh

Puntarenas, Costa Rica

5 out of 5
The sloth sanctuary was a blast

Fuerte Amador, Panama

5 out of 5
If you enjoy history, Panama city ruins are a must see

Panama Canal Transit

5 out of 5
Set your alarm to be up early if you want to see the Bridge of the Americas on the Pacific side. This is an all day adventure. Deck 7 in the ship front is an excellent view in the shade

Cartagena, Colombia

5 out of 5
So much beauty and poverty in the same location. La Popa Monastery is only available in small tours but the history and facility is amazing and the view is WOW!

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

5 out of 5

Disembarkation

Always organized and easy. Took a port shuttle to airport for $11 each but the airport was a mess (time of year?)
