Review summary

This cruise was pretty much a disappointment to me. The speciality restaurants and the ship layout were the worst. It's only because of a few areas on good ratings in my review that it seems high. If I had a category where I could rate my entire time on the ship, it would be 2 stars. My advice to help your ship would be to start by getting rid of your culinary staff. If you're actually interested in having an honest discussion, I can be reached by email mark@aimerito.com.

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
The buffet was poorly laid out and crowded. The food was passable. The specialty restaurants were substandard compared to any other cruise I've been on. The worst of the bunch was the gastropub. I was under the impression that the speciality restaurants were suppose to be top tier. They are not! They are misrepresented. They were the most disappointing part of my cruise. Your main dining rooms actually put out a better meal than any of the speciality restaurants.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

Saw one piano player at Crooners bar who was really good.

Service and Staff

service and wait staff were amazing.

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
The ship needs some serious paint and varnish. All the common areas were clean. The layout of the ship is poor. Crowded public areas and long empty corridors to get there. There needs to be more bars like Crooners and less casino.

Cabin / Stateroom

Our cabin steward gets 5 stars. Everything else was average.

Being able to walk off with my luggage instead of waiting for hours was brilliant.

No Lazyboy, the buffet was not redone and is the circle confusion. March 2019.

Well, there is one comment that is true, the Buffet layout is poor. Hope it was redone in the last refurbishment, but since he apparently cruised in January, probably not. But since he liked Cabo, I think he is a Carnival kind of person.
