Review summary

The ports of call Ketchikan and Canada the time was way too short to do anything, other than that the ports were gorgeous. The ship was horrible everything was geared to old people and the employees were very rude it was like a bother to ask for anything with the exception of our housekeeping lady she was awesome. Food was horrible for the money we paid we shouldve gotten better food, entertainment, and friendlier staff never ever using Princess .

Thats funny I took Ruby to Mexico with wife and 3 older teenagers and we couldn’t have been happier. Crew was incredible and had absolutely zero complaints honestly

I will grant, the Princess line is designed for mature audiences. I am not considered very mature at times (what does "act your age" REALLY mean?), I like the water-slides and other things that Princess does not do, but I also find a lot to anyway and I like the vibes a bit better even with the hot toys missing. Lazy, and getting back into cruising

You have to wonder what some of the people who cruise want from their time on board..... If they expect to be treated like Royalty then thats never going to happen. Cruises are for relaxing, having fun, going to new places, meeting new people, interacting with other humans, seeing new sights, tasting new delights and having an open mind etc etc. Enjoy the journey of all of the above! Stop whingeing. We place too much importance on the few negatives and not enough on the many positives.......

We love the ruby and it had plenty of stuff to do from 12-year-olds to 70-year-olds we all had a blast. And the food was wonderful we are scheduled to go on tho Emerald and 79 days to Hawaii can’t wait. I do hope you have a better trip next time

Rude? Never had that problem on the Ruby, and I have a few trips on her. I will agree that I have had what I consider bad food on ships, but I also have had a lot more that I liked/loved. Oh, and if I said I did not like something our waiter was asking if I wanted something else instead, and was right on it. Glad I am not a first timer and reading this. 175 days until Hawaii! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Texaswm37, I’d love to know what about the food you didn’t like. Can you be specific?

I’m in my early 40’s. Not sure if that is “old” but I sure loved the Ruby Princess. Not one complaint.

Princess say, "Bye Felicia"

Take notice that the positive reviews of a Princess cruise far outweigh the negative. This should tell you something.

Interesting, I was on the same cruise as you and found the staff to be extremely nice and willing to help. The ship was very nice and yes entertainment is/was geared to an older crowd (not elderly just older). Our group had a fabulous vacation on the Ruby and were far from retirement. As for the ports, you paid attention to the iteniary you would of known that there wasn't much time in these ports. Food was delicious! Cruising isn't for everyone!
