Review summary

This cruise was very layed back. Most of the activities where lectures about jewelry, Alaska, etc.. The Ruby Cruise ship is very confusing to get around. The promenade deck was divided up. Not all elevators go to each deck. This made it very confusing. The ship it’s self was very pretty and always clean. The crew was friendly and very helpful. Great cruise if you want R&R.

All ships have a confusion factor, that is what happens when you try to pack a lot of things into one small hole in the water. As far as elevators, which one(s) are you talking about, as I recall, they all go to all the decks that they can for all the normal public activities (well, back aft only one of the four goes to the Star deck, which makes sense for the main traffic flow patterns). Oh, the promenade deck does go all the way around the ship, with it going up one deck near the bow (pointy end for you land lubbers).

Pretty much agree with with you.

Try Carnival —they may be more your style, Princess caters more to the older crowd.
