Review summary

We booked four balcony rooms next to each other for a family trip over 6 months ago, 3 of us all arrived at the same time went to our rooms looked at the room my sister was going to be in, her name was on the door. About 1/2 hour later she checked in and her room had been given to someone else. It was very upsetting to talk to the staff even the manager and no one cared. They said her room was a upgrade but it was just like ours only with a smaller balcony, this is a upgrade???? Still can't find out who's fault it was or Princess they blame each other, I will never use either one again!!!!

Thanks for sharing your cruise with us.

Anytime I book a room I always refuse an upgrade. Sounds good but most cases it is not.

We were asked by our travel agent on booking if we would like to be considered for a free upgrade. Like 90% of people we said yes. Then we realised that an “upgrade” could put us below the theatre or beside noise. We were delighted to be in the cabins we had originally selected. Sounds like maybe your sister - or her travel agent - ticked the wrong box on upgrades which must have been so annoying.

Upgrades can seem to have no rhyme or reason but I'm guessing that Princess views it as a more desirable location.
