Review summary

Disembarkation was the best part of the whole cruise. A series of problems put a dark cloud on the cruise.

Embarkation

There were four cabins traveling in our party. All balcony rooms. All cabins were to be side by side. This was a family reunion and we were guaranteed all cabins would be together. When we arrived to our cabins, all four cabins had our names on the mail slots at the entrance to the cabins. One cabin in our party had not checked in yet. We noticed a Princess Cruise Line employee peeling our names off from one of the cabin mail slots. We asked why they were doing that. They said that the person in our party who had not arrived yet requested an upgrade. This was not true and the room they were moved to was certainly not an upgrade. We tried to get our cabin back, but it was too late as someone else was checking into it. Princess Cruise Lines lied to our face.

Most crew members walking around the ship did not know which way was up. We were pointed in the wrong direction about 90% of the time.

I cleaned the shower myself upon arrival. There was soap residue and dirt on the shower walls.

We were on her in May...agreed the food on the buffet was the worst ever.

The ship is docked from 7pm til midnight at Victoria. Our re-board time was 11.30pm. The main retail area and tourist parts are about 20 minutes walk away - there are transport options. It looks a great city. Please read lots of other reviews to get a more balanced view of - in my opinion- a great ship and a great cruise

Eek! A little nervous now for our same cruise in August! How was Victoria? Do you really get there at 7pm at night and leave by 11pm?

So sad - definitely not representative of our great experience.
