Review summary

Had a great, first cruise. My cousin, her fiancée, my uncle, and I truly enjoyed experiencing Alaska and taking in the breathtaking beauty of nature at its finest. The ship had all the necessary creature comforts and allowed an opportunity to disconnect from home rarely offered on vacation. I highly recommend this trip.

Amazing experience in the Botticelli dining room with Oliver and Garry. Lido deck was great for pizza and ice cream.

Ship tip

This was my first cruise and I enjoyed it very much! I brought my own, $14 fan to keep air moving in the room, which seemed to be a great move. Great experience!

Visit the market and buy flowers for your stateroom. My steward brought a vase on the first day and for the $10 I spent one Seattle, they were a great way to brighten the room!

This was the best place for whale watching. I recommend Dolphin Jet Boat Tours (company).

We took the fast ferry to Haines for some incredible wildlife viewing with Rainbow tours. They do small groups, so 4 of us actually had a private tour. Our guide took us off the generic paths to places there were too many bald eagles to count.

Our guide, Aretha, was a local and knew an incredible amount about history and culture. It doesn’t hurt my aunt lives here and had us over for fresh-caught, Alaskan shrimp!

This community has the most vibrant flowers I’ve ever seen. My only complaint was how late we got in and how short our stay was.
