Security went smoothly and the process was pleasent.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Service was wonderful and the food was Good. The food was not great. Portions were a good size allowing for trying more then one dish. The pistachio chocolate Dome was amazing! Everything we ate from the international Cafe was delicious.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Once we got over ourselves and joined in we had a blast. The staff were entertaining and fun. We did not use the fitness center or the pools.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We did not attend a show but heard great things. Music was hit or miss. The strings were wonderful the jazz and band music needed a bit more practice.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
This was also hit or miss. The service was either exceptional or awful. Some of the staff encountered in bars and speciality restaurants were rude. The staff we dealt with daily (Our waiters and steward) really made the trip.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship was clean. This was my first cruise and I was surprised at how clean it all was.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our cabin was perfect. More room then we expected and the balcony was huge! More then enough space for us to unpack and stay orgaized.

Ship tip

Join in! Coffee card was worth every penny as a tea drinker. Wait till you board the ship to buy internet package to avoid confusion. Just be sure to purchase the first day to get extra time.

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington

5 out of 5
We stayed at the double tree prior to our cruise. We did the sightseeing on our own. If we had to do over we would have stayed at the Westin to be closer to downtown. Seattle was beautiful and much to much to see in the day we had. The Chihuly garden and glass was one of the highlights of the trip!

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
We did the self explore Mendenhall. It was wonderful. We also did the gold panning and salmon bake. Both were enjoyable.

Skagway, Alaska

5 out of 5
We went on a photography tour. Recommend this excursion 100%. We went to the summit, saw eagles and beautiful views! The town was fun. My favorite port of the trip.

Ketchikan, Alaska

5 out of 5
We shopped and visited creek street.

Victoria, British Columbia Did not visit port

We decided to stay on the ship due to the late arrival and the time of the sunset.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Learned that next time let them handle the luggage. It was difficult to deal with.

bndfromaz - thanks for the hard ice cream tip. I did not know that. Wife always goes for the free soft serve which is OK by me.

For at least the past three cruises our coffee cards have been rolled over to another cruise. We have a partially used card we will use in Nov. non issue, they have honored no question.

The punches are good on any Princess cruise until they run out. During the first cruise or the one that will end up on the back of the card, you will have unlimited brewed coffee. My understanding is that The International Cafe is the only place that has brewed coffee, all other locations are made from syrup. The longer you go without signing the card or dating it the better. You may end up with another cruise with unlimited brewed. Also a note, you can trade a punch for three scoops of ice cream. Soft serve is always free though.

@GIL155 I doubt I will even try to use in the future. We used 9 out of the 15 punches. I drink hot tea and had and endless supply with the card of very nice tea. I more then got my money worth. I was perfect for a cooler cruise.

Ok. Princess may be loosening their restrictions. Glad so many of you are having success reusing the card. I stand corrected.

I was also told I could keep and use on future cruises but they did write on the back. But myself and my husband were able to use the same card.

Technically, the first time you use it, the crew is supposed to write the ship name and cruise number on the card. Some folks report using the card on multiple cruises. I have not, nor do I buy a partial card. Just my input. Good luck.

I heard you can use your coffee card on different cruises. Is this true?

I buy my coffee cards on-line (that auction, or buy now place) for about $24. Make sure it is not dated/signed on the back. Each card is supposedly good for one cruise.
