Review summary

Definitely isn't for younger people looking for excitement. Don’t get me wrong, I did have fun. It's probably better for older people wanting to just relax and enjoy everything being readily available and accessible.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very organized and well prepared with getting passengers situated and on the boat.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The dining room had good food and also the sandwiches from the international Cafe were amazing. I wasn't too impressed with the buffet. As we still ended up eating there we also still would grab food from the pizza and hamburger/hot dog stations.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We didn't really use much of these amenities. We gambled some and watched movies on the big screen. Definitely good for people who will do those things on a cruise.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
I absolutely loved the musicals and the comedian they had on board. I'm into musicals so that was awesome to see. We also enjoyed the dj at the night club majority of the nights. Not really a "night life" per se but i don't like crowds so this was perfect for us.

Children's Programs

4 out of 5
We had children with us and we did check out the children's puritan's but we didn't use them. It seemed pretty good because they were split up by age groups from really young to pre teen. Looked like they had a lot of activities for the children.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Hit or miss with this one. Our room service guy was on point as well as our server for the night club we attended but the service from our dining room experience and the buffet were terrible. Some days good and some days bad.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Always clean. Always saw someone cleaning. Was great.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Definitely worth getting the suite. It was only 2 of us but i like the spacious room for my luggage and the balcony is key!! Loved my room.

Ship tip

Pace yourself on food...you can get sick of eating quick. Just have enough so you are able to have a little bit of everything!!

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington

5 out of 5
So much fun! We watched horse racing and got to see a Mariners game. Good eateries too.

Juneau, Alaska

1 out of 5
We did the tram and white water rafting. Both very touristy.

Skagway, Alaska

5 out of 5
No excursions. Just walked around. The ports pretty much have the same type of shops.

Ketchikan, Alaska

4 out of 5
We watched the lumberjack show and walked to the salmon creek. Both really wasn't worth it but great experience overall.

Victoria, British Columbia

4 out of 5
We barely stopped here and when we did it was so late everything was closed but the one gift shop at the pier. Wish we were here longer.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Very quick and easy.

We always ended up at the nightclub all the way up on the top of the ship. Fantastic barmaids and bartenders there, we sure missed them after we get off the ship. Yes princess usually is for older people because that's about the only place for music and drinking once it hits like 10 o'clock

Thanks for the insights, glad you were able to enjoy your time with the elders.

I've found this to be true with all Princess cruise ships. Your time is what you make it.

That is a fairly honest assessment. I resemble your description, a lot (lol). Glad you tried Princess and you can always return when you get older. Or next week. Love Princess!
