Go for the scenery, and hope you will have nice weather. We did not see much wildlife or aquatic life which was disappointing. A balcony room is a must.

Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Main dining was excellent. The food was hot and waiters were great. Speciality restaurants were not on par with other cruise lines with the exception of the Salty Dog with its pub style food. That was awesome for a $12 up charge. Buffet was hit or miss and ran out of the "good" food before lunch hours were over.
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
Fitness center....not good. No walking track which didn't expose you to the outside elements and it was cold and rainy/windy much of the time. The weather on our cruise was cold, windy and dreary for the majority of our cruise. One would think they would have the hot tubs somewhat covered, but they weren't. Don't bother bringing your swimsuit as the hot tubs were never hot enough to brave the outside elements. My bath water is warmer than what they had these set at. Disappointing.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
The theatre on this ship was old and in need of refurbishing. The sight lines from the first 3 or 4 rows were terrible. No drink service, so get your beverages before the show. The singers and dancers were good but not spectacular. The "headliners" were ok. Steve Moris was quite funny. The staff and cruise director were very good. Overall I would rate the entertainment factor at about a 5 out of ten.

Outstanding service.
Ship Quality

Older ship, smaller than many.
Cabin / Stateroom

Loved the layout of this cabin. It was different from other ships/cruises we have been on. Less congestion by the door as they had the closet turned to the side and didn't have cumbersome doors on it. Bathroom was located on the wall in which the outside hallway was. This kept the noise level down from people walking by (in the hallway) and less noise in the cabin from the bathroom itself. Bed was decent.
Mendenhall glacier is a must see. We used Uber to get there, but no coverage to call them back when you are at the glacier. We used a taxi to get back at about the same charge.
Loved this port. Only really nice day we had on the cruise other than when we boarded in Seattle. We did the helicopter/Glacier tour but saved $30 a head by not booking it on the ship and just walking over to the helicopter place. The tour was amazing and I would highly recommend it. The town itself is an easy walk from the ship and quite charming.
We loved this port but we were not there long enough to do anything in the daylight. Got in after 6 pm. We took a taxi into the city to look around, but would have enjoyed staying there longer.
