Review summary

Food service in both dinning rooms was considerably slow. Food was just ok in dinning rooms. Our steward was not the friendliest and sometimes had an attitude when we asked him for something. I'm giving it 4 stars because what made up for the poor service was the excellent service at Vines the wine bar. We did 2 wine tastings there and really enjoyed it . Marc Anthony and Oliver were always friendly, had a smile on their faces and fun to talk to. On a better note Alaska is beautiful . Go on the cruise for the scenery not the food or service

We have always had excellent service except for a "cold" to rude server in a bar. We didnt report her, but probably should have..How else is management to know there is a problem? I understand that the wait staff sometimes encounters rude, abrupt passengers who will never be pleased, but we are easing going and try to be nice. We've decided that if we see an employee being unnecessarily rude to others, we will mention it to the desk. I hate to be a "tattletale, but otherwise, they will pollute the cruise experience for many. (BTW, I don't mean minor abruptness, but overt rudeness)

Alaska IS beautiful. Hope to be there again next Summer. I have to asdume I will have a different steward. Thanks for posting.
