Review summary

The cruise was relaxing, the scenery was beautiful, the entertainment was okay and the food ranged from pretty good to very good.  We had some outstanding customer service experiences, with almost everyone aboard the ship working very hard to make the trip as enjoyable as possible, and they all did it with with genuine smiles.  The excellent customer service was the best part.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The dining options were great, except for breakfast which never seemed to match our schedule very well. The food was really good, and dining at Share and Crown Grille, both very nice, added to the variety.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Skip the spa. The services are fine, but from the start it is obvious they are gearing up to sell you some obnoxiously expensive products. It detracts from the experience.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
There were lots of smiling faces. One that really stood out was Yulia, who serves cocktails in one of the main lounges and couldn't have been more friendly and sweet, going the extra mile on a few occasions when we needed guidance and information about what was happening aboard the ship and when, etc. She was extra great.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship is very pretty and clean. Only one complaint: after the instructional muster, the elevator situation (trying to get back to room) was horrendous. I was with my mom, who can't walk up/down stairs, so we had no choice but to wait - and it was about 45 minutes before we could get an elevator.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was spacious enough, and the space was very functional. The TV was basically useless. There was a squeaking noise near the top of our sliding glass door. The first night, the noise was very bad, and I thought we would have to move. I noticed a prior passenger had shoved a piece of cardboard into a space to try and stop the noise, but it didn't work. But, after the first night it got better. Other than that, it was very comfortable. Our steward was great.

Ship tip

Make sure before you go that the perks you signed up for are actually applied to your account (cabin upgrade, beverage package, onboard credits). I was supposed to have all three, but only the OBC was applied. I had to go to customer service 3X to get the beverage pkg problem worked out. Unhappy.
