The Ship was very nice. Our balcony cabin was the nicest & most comfortable we have had in 10 cruises. The food was least enjoyable. No public stairs at our deck 9 level which required using the always busy elevators. The staff was exceptionally friendly & very helpful. However, you were continually asked if you wanted to buy the many extra services offered. We had no problems.

For the most part the cruise was good, however, a major issue is their totally poor elevator service.  The waits for an elevator are HORRIBLE and ALL passengers were upset with it.  When advising the staff, they simply smiled. There were no stairs in the middle of the ship only for crew. Mini Suites seemed smaller and the balcony was basically so small it was only sufficient for standing.  There were two lounge chairs and a round table. No way to use the chairs without putting your legs ontop of the table. Reduced dining room staffing was noticeable. Slow kitching and long waits for waiters to bring food to dining room. Waiters constantly apologized for the slow service. Some 300 Chinese onboard and were very rude. The Japanese passengers were very polite and courteous. Won't be sailing on the Royal or Regal,a sister ship in the future. The Island Princess, Caribbean, Golden, Grand, Star Princess ships are excellent.

First of all let me say the service and food were outstanding. We preferred the buffet over the seated dining. Our first formal night seated dining was very disappointing. My first disappointment came as soon add we got to our room. We had a balcony room with an obstructed view. We had called princess and purposely asked what the obstruction would be and ess told it was the drop down bed. Since we were not going to use this we didn't mind. However, we had a tender blocking our view. When we talked to the customer service desk they said there was nothing they could do we would need to call corporate. The balcony was small. The other things I didn't care for were lack of stairs. You were forced to wait for elevators. Also, the pools. You had either the pools over run with children or the retreat that was very quiet and boring. An adult with pool with music would be nice. I am undecided if I will take this ship again.

The Inroom entertainment on this ship was the best I have ever seen. Lots of movies and tv shows that are all complimentary. The balcony stateroom was also very nice, new, and clean. The layout was very well thought-out. Theater Entertainment for us was a little below average. The ship is very beautiful and we very much enjoyed looking around. The food was just ok in comparision to other cruises that I have been on, but definently not bad. All in all it was a great cruise and we would recommend it to anyone.

This ship was supposed to be "The New Princess" vessel. When they originally released the maiden year schedule the pricing was at a premium level. Soon after the first voyages and poor reviews the prices appeared to drop reflecting a growing trend of dissatisfaction. I like Princess and have a couple of trips each on the Ruby and Emerald Princess (Both Signature Ships). The problem is that many of the things I appreciated so much on those ships have been eliminated or cut back. The veranda deck walk is a thing of the past. The fantastic bow section of the upper veranda deck walk is gone. The forward views from the fitness center are gone. The rear pool is gone, replaced by one forward attached to the pay for view Sanctuary. The center stairways do not go up to the passenger floors causing backups at the elevators (this is not a minor problem, ask anyone who has sailed on the Royal). The verandas are miniscule even in the mini-suites. They eliminated the side aisles in the upper part of the theatre to slide in a couple of extra seats but it means that people who want to leave in the middle of a performance have to climb over a dozen people. I heard more bad things about this ship in elevators and public places than any other ship I've been on, and that's not as many as some but more than a dozen.

The overall ATTITUDE all over the ship not what I have come to expect from Princess.....found most just  not happy... this the FIRST correction that can be FIXED...

Our cabin felt smaller...than other princess ships.  The staff seem to just be TIRED of PEOPLE  but I sense that they also know that they cannot fix the poor design of this ship. I will sail Princess again ....WILL.... sail on the Royal Princess again HOPEING.... they made changes.

I you have a chance to do the same trip on an older, but better ship, I recommend Princess for the Caribbean without question.

THE ROYAL IS A NICE SHIP...BUT HAS A ATTITUDE...THE STAFF SEEMS TO BE VERY UNHAPPY TO BE THERE OVERALL...THIS WAS OUR 4TH PRINCESS CRUISE....WE LIKE PPINCESS CRUISE LINE...AND WILL SAIL AGAIN....BUT....THE EMARALD OR THE RUBY....CAN OR COULD GIVE LESSONS....THIS A NEW SHIP AND NEEDS TO STEP UP ...TO PRINCESS STANDARDS.... REALLY LARGE STAFF ISSUES....OUR FINAL FEELING IS JUST... OK ...

My overall impression of the ship was it was very beautiful, but not very functional. I booked a cabin midship next to the elevators thinking there would also be stairs there. Not so with this ship. Friends I was traveling with said this was the first Princess line ship they had been on that did not have stairs midship. The buffet was also a little confusing. Food items spread out and hard to find. Our cabin steward was very good. We had no problem with service except one day by the pool when I requested lemonade and was told I would have to go to the buffet to get that. The other days I requested lemonade the servers got it from the kitchen behind the bar at the pool. Don't know what the problem was this one day.

Beautiful ship. Saterooms are a bit smaller than on other Princess ships. Balconeys are very small especially for 3 people in a stateroom. Food is excellent in all venues. Entertainment was all new and performed very well.

Beautiful ship, very elegant. Miss the aft pool. Really miss a midship stair deck 5 and up!  Also miss a wrap around promenade. Good food, good entertainment. Princess theater needs more aisles. Seating is horrible. The SeaWalk is cool, not scary to walk on at all. 

The new ship was gorgeous! Food was good, but premier restaurants were no better than the dining rooms. Buffet was actually the best! All 3 excursions were very disappointing, delays, wasted time, disorganized, but not Princess's fault.

We thoroughly enjoyed the cruise and found all to be pleasant to us. A caring staff and pristine facilities were appreciated...

I was most impressed with our head waitress Doretta, she was very professional, kind and took care of us totally. Robert the General Manager in the restaurant was increadable

I was disappointed with the cruise line and booking through Delta. I just spent 30 minutes writing a thorough review and answering all of Delta's questions. After hitting 'submit' I was told that my session had timed out!!! EVERYTHING I WROTE WAS LOST. What a waste of time. GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER, DELTA!

The ship is exceptionally beautiful! The food was great and the entertainment was outstanding!

the ship was almost brand new! staterooms were nice, all the facilities were very nice - fitness center, pool area, casino, theater, etc.

i loved this cruise! we went as a big group, 15 of us, and they were great with the little kids. although the weather wasn't so good, they had tons of activities and parties. it was such a blast! the staff was so nice and the ship was clean. overall, i would totally recommend thia ship for adults and kids!

Beautiful ship, excellent staff, could have better entertainment. Food was amazing in specialty restaurants. We sailed as a group of 15 and they were great to us. The night club was a little lame and cleared out early. Very relaxing, great kids club

library was to small.
