Ship: Royal Princess

Cabin number: GUAR

Traveled as: Couple

Review summary

Once the ship left the port in Seattle the seas were very rough. The staff made it manageable and easier to deal with. After the seas calmed we were able to go to a couple of ports and enjoy excursions. On the ship the crew and staff made it very enjoyable.

Room # R220 our cabin attendant was amazing. Saw him in the hallway. But, never in the room. The room was always clean and bed made. So, sweet.

Ship tip

Take advantage of all the shows and classes. They are great

We've never sailed on a cruise ship. So, we did not know what to expect. But, seemed to be a well oiled machine. :)

Juneau, Alaska Did not visit port

Royal Princess did not dock as the swells were too high

The weather was wet, cold, and windy. But, we made the most of it, took lots of pictures and videos.

Ketchikan, Alaska

So rainy and windy. The excursion we went on was good. However, the guide Cindy did not act like she wanted to be there. It felt like she was reading a script. Sometimes she would even get irritated.

Victoria, British Columbia

We were in port from 9:00-11:30pm. Did not give us much time to do anything and it was late at night.

Welcome to the wonderful world of cruising. I am assuming you were really on a Princess cruise not a Royal Caribbean one. Appreciate your detailed feedback. Glad you enjoyed your first cruise.
