Review summary

We had a great time. The ship should have spent more time in Victoria BC. The excursions were extremely expensive. We only did one in Skagway and it was $300 for a 3 hour train ride.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
A little Chaotic. Make sure you have all your paperwork done. I: bag tags, medallions, passports ready so you can use the green lane.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

So much food. The specialty dining was the best part.

Onboard Activities

Ran out of stuff to do on about day 4.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone was very professional and accommodating.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Elevators were slow. Mostly used the stairs. The ship was very clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Room needed new carpet and linens. Otherwise it was clean and nice.

Ship tip

Get the Premier package, it’s worth it.

Sounds like a first time cruiser.

Yes, most often, the cruise ship’s excursions are overpriced. Luckily, no one has to take them unless you agree to pay the inflated price. Alternatively, you can usually find cheaper prices for similar or better excursions from independent vendors or go on your own. Just be sure to allow ample time to get back on board.
