Review summary

Why do you thing this is my second cruise? The first was perfect so try again, and it's perfect. So I will keep going until I prove it is not perfect then I stop.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Fun! Felt like planes, trains and automobiles. I was in total terror of missing the connection but it was very smooth that there was no need to worry

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Did not try specialty restaurants (on a budget-thanks Princess for not being a snob). The buffet is so classy and yet homey that I have no need for the specialty restaurants. Call it too snobby, too pretentious, a bit childish or overworked the presentation but when food is good food is good and it was set for portion control. Teaches you to control what to eat plus it acts as a sampler so you can try as much as you can in one plate (just don't make a Himalayan mountain on the tray)

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Bingo! and Princess Live! and Games Under the Stars!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff is very professional and courteous.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
It is a floating Vegas hotel.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Perfect did not want to leave

Ship tip

Perfect - if it gets messy, it's you (you know when you break up with someone?)

Once again, planes trains and automobiles on my side when everything was smooth sailing.

Just got off the Royal Princess on June 18th from a two week back to back from Whittier to Vancouver and back to Whittier. I can’t say enough good things about the crew, in particular our room steward {Mario) and our waiter (Pegee) in Club Class dining. They went above and beyond. The ship is beautiful and Alaska is absolutely stunning. We had a few hiccups. First, when we got to the terminal Princess had reinstated the mask mandate. Not happy but it is what is is. The music on the ship is a little sleepy but I guess the cater to an older crowd. We had high winds and high seas the night before our stop in Victoria and they had to slow down the speed so we did not make our stop in Victoria. It seemed like every where we docked this ship was the farthest away from the end of the pier. A LOT of walking. The kicker was we disembarked on Saturday, had an overnight flight home and I was feeling not too good. Tested positive for covid on Monday. Worst thing ever. So mask up, be diligent with sanitation and hopefully you will have a wonderful time.
