Review summary

The good greatly out weighed the bad, so i would do this trip again!

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Embarkation time was chnged from published time due to "two ships departing port at same time" Was very crowded with passengers from both ships in the same lines!!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Everything in Royal Club Class dining was excellent. One gripe though, dining room for breakfast and lunch was changed from Concerto to Allegro dining room, no notification given pre-cruise no embarkation day

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Enjoyed a Memorial Day observance for Military Veterans and a champagne meet-and-greet get-together for Veterans as well!

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Did sit in on a guitarist performance in the Wheelhouse bar. Crowd conversation noise about overpowered the music...not the best venue!

Children's Programs

Did not travel with children!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Club Class dining on Royal Princess is first rate. All the waitstaff enjoyed taking very good care of "their" passengers!!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Great ship that was VERY clean and orderly!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Could not find anything to question. Toilet stopped flushing on day two, was repaired within two hours. Over-desk light burned out, was repaired within an hour!!!

Ship tip

Enjoy the "common areas" where you can people watch all you want. Get out onto the outdoor decks

Ports of call

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

5 out of 5
Spent two days pre-cruise learning about this great city and seeing very interesting urban sights

Ketchikan, Alaska

4 out of 5
CROWDED port....five ships here on our port day. Did get to see Creek Street, a "must do" for this trip!

Juneau, Alaska

4 out of 5
Mendenhall Glacier was great, although there was a crowd here. Weather was not the best, but still enjoyed being here. Mt Roberts Tram was a bust due to the rain, would have been a highlight in clear weather. All the "up top" time was a waste of energy

Skagway, Alaska

5 out of 5
White Pass Railway was phenomenal...a completely a DON'T miss. The best 3 hours of the entire ashore time on this cruise!!!

Cruise Glacier Bay

5 out of 5
Get good with the best camera you have!!! There is a photo of a lifetime every time you turn around!

Cruise College Fjord, Alaska

5 out of 5
A fairy-tale area in the great weather we had. Not quite as grand a Glacier Bay! But very close!!

Whittier (Anchorage), Alaska

3 out of 5
Debarkation port only!! Rode the "Big Bus" by Alaska Cruise Transportation to Anchorage. Once past the tunnel the trip as an excursion!

Disembarkation

2 out of 5
Leaving the ship was smooth and rapid! Collecting our luggage was chaos. No type of organization....had to go row by row till bags finally found!

Thank you for accentuating the positives, and not nitpicking. I find that any vacation, and especially cruise vacations should be what they are, a trip of a lifetime or a year, lol. I see to much negativity from reviews. Life isn't perfect ANYWHERE. Cheers!!!
