Great itinerary. Modern ship with good amenities. The cigarette smoke is terrible.

The main dining room was subpar compared to recent Celebrity sailings but there were some good dishes here and there. I was served two dishes that were inedible. The buffet has a good variety of choices and I like that there is staff serving the food but the space is so hot and parts of it stink of smoke from the nearby smoking area. Specialty dining at Tamirand was superb. Pool side grill with hamburgers and hotdogs was the best I have had at sea. Brooklyn Deli (also in the pool area) was also better than average for pizzas, salads, subs, etc. Lastly, I enjoyed the English tea service.
Onboard Activities

Sea days were great because of all the things to do. We enjoyed numerous art classes, card meet-ups, educational presentations, sporting activities, and Bingo.
Entertainment

There was a nice variety of shows in the World Showcase. Highlights for us were the steel drums and comedian. We also really wanted to enjoy the music offered onboard in the music walk but could not do so because of the strong cigarette stink and clouds of smoke from the adjacent casino. Be aware … it is REALLY REALLY strong and many people were commenting. Even if you are not sensitive to the smell, your clothes and hair will stink. This being said, the performers were fantastic and really talented. It was a shame that we could not enjoy it.

Ship Quality

Our room was dirty when we arrived. It had technically been “cleaned” but we had to ask them to come back in and clean again. Besides being obviously dusty (which is somewhat inevitable on a cruiseship), there were toe nail clippings on the bathroom floor, crumbs on the carpet that were clearly visible to the eye and with a candy wrapper, stickiness on desk surface, and objects left in drawers with people’s hair. They were apologetic and someone came in to clean again but this really just accounted for vacuuming. We still felt the need to use Clorox wipes on all the surfaces.
Cabin / Stateroom

This room is tiny but we expected such given it was an inside stateroom. But the small space is used effectively and the flow works. The bathroom is the same size as other standard cabin types. It should be noted that there is not really anywhere to sit except on the bed but we were never in the cabin except to shower and sleep so it was not a big deal to us. Room overall was in pretty good condition and still felt new in my ways.
Ship tip
Do not sail on this ship if you are sensitive to cigarette smoke. It is bad enough to ruin your experience on board.
The water is beautiful but there is little to do here. Turks and Caicos consist of many islands and this is not the primary island where people vacation.
We spent 21 days on Rotterdam last November. The smoking at the back of the ship in the pool area made it impossible to sit back there. The shop upstairs next to the casino was also very smelly at the end closest to the casino.
