Not as good as expected! by tay664

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Riviera

I will compare with Celebrity Silhouette, travelling in The Retreat (which is cheaper per night) and eating in Luminaie. The food on Rivera is nowhere near as good as Celebrity Silhouette. Main dining is dreadful. Entertainment is poor and amateurish. There is no covered pool area to sit in. There is no Retreat Lounge with Canopies and free drinks.

Oceania is first class. They don’t nickel and dime you. Zero complaints and we are very picky.

Great to Be Back on the Water by lsodergreen

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Riviera / Destination: Caribbean

after having our 2020 cruise cancelled it was a little worrisome to be back on the ship, However all my fears were gone as soon as I stepped on the ship. The cleanliness of the ship and the protocols in place were well thought out. Time to get back to life!

The Riviera more than a cruise ship, more like a sanctuary and place of relaxation. by Cal1964

The Pampered Life: Fantastic First Cruise Ever, One I'll Never Forget by MFrost

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Riviera / Destination: Caribbean

The perfect pampered experience for first-time cruises on a magnificent ship with the friendliest crew & staff. Fantastic food, perfect cabin, fun passengers (if a bit older than us!). Even got to know the Boutique staff on a 1st name basis (Adele, Dennis & Kassim). Shot the breeze with the South African piano player, Tony, at Waves one morning. When 780 crew take care of 719 passengers....

Dissapointing by Salf777

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Riviera / Destination: Caribbean

Was so excited as we heard Oceania was a "Luxury" cruise. Staff unhelpful and cold. Anything you asked for was an issue. One day someone took the plant out of their room and put it in the hallway, it sat there all day, feel over and dirt all over the hallway from 8am to 7 pm until I finally went and got the concierge. Specialty restaurants food was amazing, service was awful except Toscana, they were great. Every restaurant we were seated and I had to get up after 5 minutes and ask for a waiter. Red Ginger we had a table reserved for 2, met some people asked to make it a 4 and request "denied". They all said we are very busy on 7 day sailings, then dont do 7 day sailings if you cant accommodate. One girl Ana who was a hostess in Jacques was a huge help. My wife had a diet request, upon boarding we asked for the restaurant manager twice or food and beverage, never called us. Asked Ana and she had it taken care of in 5 minutes. The food and beverage manager did call the second to last night after speaking with the concierege and his response was I didnt get any message and your request was taken care of so whats the problem????? Well it was the 5th day. The service didnt compare to Azamara or NCL in the Haven. I think Oceania does themselves a disservice and brings their brand down with this sailing. Everyones excuse is this is a short sailing and its the Caribbean so dont expect much

Wonderful Montreal to New York Cruise by mybill

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Riviera / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

Very elegant classy ship, very good restaurants and choice of style of cooking. Not the most lively of cruises, only one entertainment going on at any one time. It did feel that they were struggling to find things of interest in some ports. This was a trip to see the autumn flora but the ship sailed mostly at night so little opportunity to see from the ship. All that said we thoroughly enjoyed it. It was less of a traditional "cruise" experience and more like an up market floating hotel.

Very interesting Northern Allure cruise by wlivings

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Riviera / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

The cruise was very interesting and the Riviera was excellent. As always, food was superb and accommodations very comfortable. Anywhere you go on Oceania will be a great experience. Be prepared for expensive tours - they were well done but the Shipmate tours were also very good.

Europe was Great! But, the ship, Oceania Riviera was not, this time. by crzydiva

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Riviera / Destination: Europe - Western Europe

Europe was my greatest experience But Oceania Riviera dropped the ball on their Culinary this time. I was very shocked since my last experience on this ship was on January 2019 and the food was amazing. Sorry, but I have to be honest.

A Perfect Cruise for First Timers by glenkrista

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Riviera / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

As first time cruisers we had no expectations or experiences to base our trip on. That said, I don't think we could have found a better ship/crew combo to start our cruising journey with. Oceania and the Riviera made our trip completely problem free and enjoyable. We had a great time and look forward to joining one of their ships again sometime soon.

Mediterranean cruise beautiful by ladyfern

Loved this cruise, however it was very hectic if you want to see all the towns and surrounding areas of the ports you stop at, would go again since the cost is so beautiful

Wonderful cruise! by werbrits

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple

Food is excellent, the specialty restaurants are first class. Nothing disappointed us except that it was too windy to get into Belize. Would definitely take another cruise with Oceania.

Memorable Cruise by labergh

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Riviera / Destination: Caribbean

We enjoyed our time aboard the Riviera, met some lovely people, and left with wonderful memories of our cruise. We were a bit surprised at the advanced age group on this cruise. We are mid 60’s and felt young! Many of the passengers did not adhere to the ‘country club casual and elegant’ dress code, which was disappointing. We felt the excursion prices were high so we were happy to set up most of our own on shore. The cruise staff is amazing and friendly and the ship is beautiful.

Great food. Great service. Love the penthouse suite & Butler. But entertainment is below average. Nothing much to entertain you, unless you like a very quiet and peace. by DivaDollar
