New Places to Visit by MrA5

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

It kind of surprised me that you did not offer self laundry facilities, solution to sanitize hands before going into the buffet area, the drinks machine. I saw many persons using the toilet, some of them barely washed their finger tips, others opted for not washing at all. Not healthy at all. We are very pleased with the attention in the formal dinning room. We require Soya Milk, I know it was sort of a different request. Your waiters and waitresses always made sure to find it promtly. I really give my regards to them. Thanks.

Great Time by DerelR

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Very clean. Comfortable bed and stateroom. Food and staff were the best to very good. Ship is well laid out and easy to get around in. Smoking areas are clearly defined and enforced, unlike our experiences on other cruise lines.

great vacation by JenniferH9

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

It was a great first cruise experience. There was always plenty to do both at sea and on shore. the majority of the shows were really good. we enjoyed the excursions we went on, but our favorite day on shore was on Cozumel where we rented a Jeep for $50 and went to the East side of the island to spend the day on the beach.

great family vacation!!! by SherryS10

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We were very impressed with Royal caribbean. we sailed on the rhapsody Easter morning. we traveled 2 familys each with 2 adults and 2 teenagers ( 4 people per room) this was our 3rd cruise together, It is nice that the kids can have some independence but as a parent feel that they are safe. There really is something for everybody. You can be as active as you want or just kick back and relax. We did both. we had 3 days at sea to relax and have fun. we also booked our excursions before our vacation which was helpful. It would be nice to have more time on the islands but it is a nice way to see different parts of the world.

I just have one word to say, by NicoleH5

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Our sail on the Rhapsody of the Seas was our first cruise and will definitely not be our last. We booked this cruise to the Western Caribbean one week prior to it sailing and did regret our last minute decision to vacation on one of Royal Caribbean's ships. They did not leave any detail undone. The service was remarkable and most of all their staff was humble. I must say that I vacation at least three to four times a year for the last 15 years and have lodged at four and five star hotels, yet they do not compare to the service and courtesy we received on the ship. If there was something we desired that was not readily available, then a cruise staff person went above and beyond the call of duty in an attempt to get it for you. The wait staff literally waited on us "hand and foot". In addition, the shows on the ship can be compared to those on broadway. There is absolutely so much attention paid to entertaining guests and those involved really seemed to enjoy what they were doing whcih only enhanced your experience. In essence, we had a spectacular time aboard the ship and will definitely cruise again with Royal Caribbean.

Had a great cruise! by ChuckP27422663

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship is a great ship, although it is beginning to show some wear. I think mostly noticable, because we were on it last year. However, overlooking all that, the service is the best, and as time goes on you get to know some of the crew. The shows are the best! The exception would be the comedian that had sexual, politics and racial content in his show. That was totally inappropriate for the kids that were watching the show. All the rest were great.

Really, a vacation to recall. by RichardK7

My overall impression with the "Rhapsody of the Sea" is that the ship is extremely well decorated, well kept and well designed --I was really impressed by the on-board service and the positive attitude most of the crew displays.

a budget cruise by LauraO3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)

The swimming pools are freezing cold and the hot tubs are luke warm. the entertainment is not very good. We did make it to all our ports, and there were no lines getting on/off the ship.

"A not so great cruise" by TraciJ3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This was our first Royal Caribbean cruise, and quite possibly our last. We had a really horrible steward on this ship, and then some friends we met on this cruise, ran into a confrontation with some kids who should have been in their room because it was after curfew. Should you have any questions or concerns about our trip that will help you in the future maintain a high quality cruise line, please feel free to call me to discuss them further. I tried typing in all my problems earlier and when I hit send, it said my time had expired. So, again, should you want to discuss this further, please see my number below. Traci Johnson 281-376-8053

Very nice cruise, lovely ship! by ScottP2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple

This is one of the loveliest ships we've been on. We especially enjoyed the live entertainment in the stairway piano bar and other areas of the ship. Beds were great, best we've slept on!

It was GREAT! by JennyP3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I think it was great! This is our 2nd time on the Rhapsody and I enjoyed it as much as the first! The updates done are nice - The windjammer renovations were being completed - it'll be great! It's a good size ship, not too big, not too small. You can relax or join in the fun!

very poor value and cruising experience by MaryA30

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple

ship should not have been released for crusing after leaving dry dock many areas/items needed repaired.ie: wind jammer resturant closed, main pool closes a few days, elevators not working, food items missing from buffet tables, carpeting being installed for 3 days in our passage way.

The activities were fun. I felt they were scheduled so I could enjoy most everything I wanted to. The staff is very helpful and courteous. With the rocky sea we still had a great time. I will sail again! Susan

Had a great time by BeckyJ1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship was in need of repair. Heating had problems in the cabin and water was shut off 3 nights. Ceiling panels were down in the hallways several days for access during repairs. Some areas in the buffet are unaccessable to wheel chairs and walkers unles lifted up a step. Non-smokers had to pass through the smoke filled casino to get to dining or go down a floor then back up. The service was fantastic and meals superb! Onboard activities were great but geared to younger crowds for the most part. The stage productions were less than fantastic. (this was my 5th cruise and the least spectacular shows). The comedians and Elvis impersonator were GREAT!
